ABOUT US

We are all in this together – and we are glad you are visiting our site. Music and music education is our passion and we know how positive the effects can be to a person's emotional, mental and even physical well being.  We want to share our ideas and publicize our mission.

OUR WORK

In hard economic times, it is an unfortunate fact that many people - especially kids - don't have the opportunity to study music through personalized instruction as they simply can't afford it.  Kids in lower-income family situations simply don't have the same opportunities that their more affluent classmates have.  Yet, there is a wealth of research that confirms what we, as music instructors, have observed for many years: Music Education, particularly with the young, is an invaluable tool in helping a young person to achieve success.

We created The Upscale Music Foundation so that kids of all levels of family income can have opportunities to participate in individual music lessons as well as Rock Band Classes, where they learn to play together in a band setting.  We love to see the creative expression, social acceptance and confidence that a kid gains through music education.  We love to hear adults express how being involved in music education programs in their youth saved them from making bad choices like drug use and teen-age crimes.  Our hope is to help grow music education opportunities and hear more success stories and great music as a result.
